UC :: MS-09R-2 Rick Dom II (2004 version) - Introduction
If you are interested to know what is the best built DOM ever amongst the High Grade kits, then read on 
Ladies and Gentlemen, please meet the MS-09R-2 a.k.a. Rick DOM II. Nothing really special can be said about the box the kit comes in. The original drawing was made by BEE-CRAFT (also known as Junichi AKUTSU) and all you can see is this:
But believe me — this model, once assembled, is far from a walking kettle with bazooka
Inside you will find the best ever built Dom, and I am not kidding — Rick Dom II is the most interestingg of all the Doms I have seen so far. The kit comes with 130 parts (actually, a little bit more - some polycaps are not going to be used) and 4 foil stickers (usual “eye” one, plus ensign and the number — they are visible on the box art and one to cover a small part on the back of this Dom).
In terms of weaponry, this particular kit comes with a heat saber, 90mm machine gun, 360 mm giant bazooka and a couple of panzer fausts. There is also a scattering beam gun mounted in its torso (and very nicely done in the model, I would add…).
A little bit of a background history: the suit (as is the case with the other Doms) was designed and put to combat duties very close to the end of UC 0079 year — meaning it could not influence the direction that war was headed. Being an overall improved version of its predecessor (MS-09R Rick Dom) Rick Dom II was bigger, more agile and generally more powerful mobile suit, but (as I already mentioned) it was too little too late…
