UC :: MS-09R-2 Rick Dom II (2004 version) – Assembled
Finally, I’ve got to write this post. Apologies for the long silent 6 months to everyone, who came back for more… and did not find it.
So let’s get back to Rick Dom II – you can see what it looks like once assembled (again, no stickers and paint applied) on the pictures below. What I especially like about it – is its overall build – this easily makes Rick Dom II the best looking one among all other Doms in existence. Additional fuel tanks on its back perfectly balance Dom’s silhouette and the absence of spare ammunition clips scattered everywhere (as is the case with MS-09F) also adds to a very “clean” and mean look:
And some more pictures taken from Dom’s sides:
Because sturm fausts never got to be used by Rick Dom on my pictures I decided to make another picture – this time of all weapons and ammunition this kit got:

Colour Guide
Below you’ll find the Colour Guide along with my translation. As always, feel free to correct me if you see something that is not right:
Just follow the number on a coloured square above :
- Legs, arms and “waist” armour: Blue-Gray (90%) + Red (10%)
- The “Eye”: Green (100%)
- “Face” rim, thrusters’ internal surface, and torso-mounted beam-rifle: Red (90%) + Yellow (10%)
- Palms, Elbow and Knee Joints and Feet’s Parts (see picture below): Gray (60%) + Midnight Blue (30%) + Red (10%)
- “Skirt”, Upper Torso and Shoulder Armor; Backpack, Ammunition and Bazooka: Hands, Legs and Lower Torso Armor: Indigo (35%) + Midnight Blue (35%) + Red (15%) + White (15%)
- (?): Gray (50%) + Navy Blue (20%) + Midnight Blue (2%) + Red (10%)
- (?): Gray (100%)
To sum it up: you’ll need a little bit of green and yellow, a bit more of red. Quite a lot of gray and blue-gray, and some of indigo, midnight blue and navy blue. 8 bottles in total
Conclusion
Very nice kit, very well built and great looking. Highly recommend it for anyone, who likes Dom’s design. By the way, this model is the last one in the line of Dom kits with moving index finger. I do not know why BANDAI dropped it for the later moldings, but I found it quite helpful when one needs to fix that unruly machine gun or bazooka in mecha’s arms – just put tightly on that trigger and job is done
