GN-X (GNX-603T) – Assembled
Hey, welcome back to mechaCENTRAL!
Today I am going to talk about how the GN-X (see my previous post for its introduction) looks like when put together. On the first photo (below) you can see it without any weaponry – jut itself… standing there, minding its own business
. These huge tanks hanging from its waist make GN-X stand with its arms popped out a little bit (they must be getting in its way every time GN-X has to swing its upper body…):
Next picture shows GN-X from its both sides, this time with the GN beam rifle (which is just an “extended” GN-gun – all you need to do is attach the long barrel to that shorty GN-gun via one additional part – and GN-X (thanks to you
) gets for itself this fearsome looking long range weapon:
On the next picture you can see the rear side of the GN-X:
And finally, the rest of GN-X’s arsenal: two very long GN beam saber made of red translucent plastic and that small GN-gun I mentioned earlier. Please note the picture on the right have been mirrored in order to improve the image’s composition
therefore the open palm is actually LEFT, not right, as pictured (I am sorry for any confusion this may cause):
Points to note…
There are some points worth mentioning about this particular kit (please refer to numbers on the picture below).
- I was very pleased with this particular improvement – the GN beam gun/rifle can be fixed to GN-X’s arm using the additional slot (pictured). What a relief! Now you can move the arm in virtually ANY direction and the weapon is not going to fall out of mecha’s “grasp”. Well done BANDAI! By the way, the “grasp” in GN-X seems to have been improved too – both GN beam sabers fit pretty tight in its hands.
- This one is obvious – GN-X is Action Stand ready (including those black ones BANDAI used to supply with its HGUC kits). The hole for Action Stand’s pin is made not in the GN-X’s lower body, but in that thruster/stabiliser wings block visible on the rear view picture (above).
- This one is a bummer – I do not know what they were thinking in BANDAI when they decided to make the shoulders the way they did it. Look at it, the whole part, that fits between the torso and the arm is holding on a single (!) tiny ball. I could understand if it was located on the top of that shoulder joint, but below? This is beyond my comprehension… Yes, the whole construction does provide for a freedom of movement to some degree, but I still do not see the point of making it this way…

Conclusion
Good looking model, solid built and highly posable.
Comes with the short GN beam gun (transformable via a long barrel into GN beam rifle) and two GN beam sabers.
Active Stand ready. Can be recommended to anyone collecting mecha kits from Gundam 00 series.
Happy model building!
